ANOTHER LAYOUT!

Ok...Here is another layout that I made today!

I made this layout using my Pazzles Inspiration! I created the title, razor, shaving cream can and plop of shaving cream. In case I haven't said it recently...I LOVE THIS MACHINE!! I used to have to get a die out and cut a letter then get the next die out and cut a letter and so on until I had my title finished...and forget trying to create a can of shaving cream. I would have had to drive to the store and try and find an embellishment that I liked and that would go with my page. Not anymore. Now I can create whatever my little mind can come up with, load my paper and push cut!! It is truly that easy!

~Let me get off my soap box and get back to creating wonderful layouts~

I'M ON A ROLL

I am not sure what has gotten into me the last few days but I seem to be on a roll getting my layouts done. I guess I should not question it and just enjoy the process.

This layout was fun to do. I used my Pazzles Inspiration to cut everything. I cut the large circle, the title, the stars...everything. I just love this machine!

BORED

I was so bored today! It was snowing all day and nice and warm inside so I decided to get some scrapbooking done, since I wont be able to do any for 6 weeks or so after my surgery!

I am so far behind on my scrapbooks. Nathan is almost 16 and I have not even started his baby album! I would love to get that done before he graduates from High school...LOL!

Today I just felt like making a page with fall leaves on it. I had these cute pictures of the boys helping me rake leaves and I needed to get it onto a page!

Enjoy!

YEP...I'M BROKEN

SO, it's official...I'M BROKEN!!
I went to my Dr. apt. with the surgeon today. We got there around 10:25 and didn't leave until 2:15 or so..long day!
Anyway, after sitting around waiting to be seen I finally met my Dr. , well one of them. He did the usual one million questions, repeating everything I said. He then said that he would go take a look at the MRI pictures and be right back. He came back and said that he would also need x-ray's to look at. I told him that they were taken there at the hospital so he should be able to look them up on the computer. About 10 minutes later a different doctor walked in and introduced himself. Again I answered the one million questions. He then asked me to walk back and forth and move my arms up and down. He told me to get dressed and he excused himself and that was it for the moment. Rob and I started getting really bored waiting in that hot little room. When he came back he had copies of my x-rays and a few copies of my MRI pictures. He said that I have a fairly large herniated disc of the C5-C6 and it was pushing on the nerves that run down my left arm and that is why I am in so much pain. He went over all the pictures and explained what he felt would be needed to get me somewhat back to the way I was before my injury. We went over all the good and the bad of having the surgery. He explained that they will go in from the front of my neck and remove the disc and then screw in a metal plate to fuse the two together. I will be in the hospital for 2 1/2 days if all goes well. I will not be able to drive for at least 4 weeks and I have to wear a hard collar around my neck for at least 6 weeks....NO SCRAPBOOKING FOR WEEKS!!! What will I do with myself for that long?? LOL
I do have bone spurs on C4-C5 and C6 -C7 so it is a possibility that at some point they may also blow. Oh Joy things to look forward to..LOL
My surgery is on February 9th so if you all could keep me and my family in your prayers on that day it will be appreciated!!

MY SILLY BOY

These are some pictures that Rob took of Baxter hiding under our bed. Not really sure why he was hiding but they make really cute pictures. I think he is starting to feel better without Emma around.

GLASS ETCHING

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the way this turned out! I made this for a friend of mine. She loves Mickey Mouse! I had made a coffee cup for Rob to take to work. It had all of our names etched into it. He of course showed everyone and when he showed her she loved it. I hope she likes this one too.
This time I made the background etched and that way the lettering shows up more! It is so much fun trying new stuff with my Pazzles Machine!

NEW LAYOUT!

This week has been really hard on me. My poor Baxter has been so depressed without Emma that he has almost stopped eating. He usually was the first one to come and tell me that it was time for them to eat and now I fill his bowl and hours later he eats a few bites. I have been taking him on car rides and even took him to Pet'sMart today for a new "baby". I know that he will come to grips about Emma but it is just so sad to watch. I have to say I know how he feels, I miss her terribly. So I decided today to make a scrapbook layout of my sweet girl.

FINALLY SOME SNOW!!

So last night the weatherman said that we had a cold front moving into Colorado today (Monday). He said that here in Denver we would MAYBE see 1-2 inches and that the snow would start falling around 6:30 or 7 am. I didn't think much of it because we have not gotten much snow in this area so far this winter. This morning when I woke up at 6:15 I went into the boys room and realized that Nathan and his friend Max(who stayed the weekend with us) were still sleeping so I woke them up and went into the living room . I looked out the front window and saw snow all over the ground. I told the boys to hurry because I may have to drive a bit slower to compensate for the snow. I put my robe on and my new Crock snow boots and headed out to warm up the car. WOOOOOW there was already about 2 -2 1/2 inches on the ground and it was still coming down. So once everyone was ready I drove (if you can call it that) the boys to school. It was so slippery and treacherous that when I got home I woke Rob up and told him that he would have to drive Andrew to school. What a mess out there. What usually takes me 15-20 minutes to get Andrew to school and me back home took almost an hour. I love the snow to look at but hate to drive in it.

ISNT HE HANDSOME!!!

Isn't he Handsome!!
I finally figured out (well someone told us) how to attach his pins to his Letterman's Jacket!! I sent him to school on Tuesday with his jacket on but no pins and his friends were picking on him because we did not know that the jacket could be unzipped inside to add the pins to it. So I made sure that I had the pins on really tight so that way they wont come loose and fall off. I am so proud of him for lettering not only in academics but also in football, plus winning State!! I sure hope he treasures his jacket for a long time to come!

WHAT A DEAL!!!

So I opened my mailbox today and found a bill for my MRI! Needless to say I was a bit worried about opening and seeing how much I owed! I bit the bullet and opened it...$45, that was it! I turned it over a few times to make sure that I hadnt missed something. NOPE that was it! I will gladly pay that bill. The total cost for the MRI was over $2,000!
Now I will wait for my apt. with the surgeon on the 20th to see when I will have my surgery and try really hard to come up with the $800 for that.
For once I was happy when I opened a bill!!!

REST IN PEACE PRINCESS EMILY ODESSA

Today is a sad day in the Gibson household. We had to put our sweet Emma down! We have been trying to decide if it was "time" for many months now. Some days she would just look and act so horribly awful and the next day she would be frisky so we were having a hard time. We knew that we didn't want to come home one day and find her dead. So today we took her to the vet and had them do an exam on her. She had small tumors developing all over her body, a large "something" inside her tummy and we found out today that she had torn a ligament in her back knee. After talking with the vet and getting answers we decided that it would just be better to put her down then to try and make her go through all the testing and surgery that she would need. Emma was 11 years old and had lived a pretty good life up to this point. We will miss her terribly and think of her often. Baxter is acting pretty sad and wondering where she is. I know he can feel our pain and that is making him even more sad. I bought him a new baby today to ease his pain and loneliness. I don't know if it will help but it was worth the try.

Love to you PRINCESS EMILY ODESSA!

IT's a NEW YEAR

I can not believe a new year is upon us already! My how time fly's. I sure hope that everyone out there had a great new years eve. We didn't do anything exciting. Honestly I can not remember what we did! Now that is exciting I tell ya!!

Anyway, Nathan is back from Kansas and all is right with the world once again..LOL! Andrew was very excited when we picked Nathan up at the airport. I don't think he stopped talking the whole ride home.

The boys are heading back to school in the morning and I am excited about that. Although it means I have to drive a lot more than I do when they are on vacation, it also means I will have the house to myself for a few hours a day..WOOHOO!!

The pictures above are from a small 4x4 scrapbook album I have been working on. I have a few pages left to finish but I think it is turning out really cute! It was going to be a Valentines Day gift to my boys, but I got a bit excited and showed it to them already! I will have to get back to work now so I can get it done in time.
